UK mobile carrier Vodafone has unveiled three new Android powered devices, including the Smart Prime 6, a 4G budget friendly Vodafone-branded smartphone costing only £79. The other two devices are; the Smart First 6 smartphone and the Smart Tab prime 6 tablet.
Smart First 6
The Smart First 6 is an entry-level device designed with first-time smartphone users in mind. It has a 4 inch, Touchscreen, WQHD and is powered by a dual-core 1GHz processor. It has a 4GB of internal storage and supports microSD storage expansion.
It has what you would expect from a modern smartphone. It is equipped with a 2MP rear camera for your daily snapping needs, and you can send picture messages whenever you like thanks to WiFi, 3G and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. The Smart First 6 runs Android 4.4 KitKat. It measures 121.6 x 64.4 x 11.8 and weighs 112grams and comes in black and white. It has an attractive retail price costing only £40 and is available to order directly from Vodafone.
Smart Prime 6
The Smart prime 6 is a G4 device and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop – the latest of Google’s mobile operating system, and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Sanpdragon processor paired with a 1GB of RAM alongside for zippy multi-tasking.
There is a decent amount of storage space, an 8GB of internal space and up to 64GB via microSD. The Smart Prime 6 is equipped with an 8 Megapixel rear camera with Auto-focus and flash and supports 1080p video recording, at the front there is a 2-Megapixel front-facing shooter which supports 720p video calls. The screen on the Smart Prime is a 5-inch 1280 x 720 HD display.
The device comes in classic silver or dark anthracite and measures 141.65 x 71.89 x 8.96 and weighs 155grams. The new Smart Prime 6 is available to pick up in store or order online for £79.
Smart Tab Prime 6
The Smart Tab prime 6 is 7.9mm thin and features a 9.6-inch, 1280 x 800 HD IPS display and a 1.3GHz quad-core chipset. Again, Android 5.0 Lollipop comes as standard, making the Smart Tab prime 6 compatible with all the latest Android apps. There is a16GB of internal storage plus the option to add up to a 32GB microSD card for more storage space. The Tab Prime 6 is 4G enabled and also has a WiFi and Bluetooth for connectivity.
The Tab Prime 6 is powered by a large 4600mAh battery lasting up to 37 days on standby without the need for another charge. The Smart Tab prime 6 is also available to order online on Pay monthly.
